We have encountered an issue with the Composite Products plugin and hope you can help us.

We have a variable product called Regata Eco Friendly Cotton with an attribute containing color numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.).

The attribute is configured with the default sort order set to "Name (numeric)".

On the variable product page, the variations are displayed correctly in numeric order (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...), as shown in the first screenshot.

However, when we use this same variable product as a Selected Product inside a Composite Product, the dropdown displays the variations in a completely different order (for example: 102, 56, 61, 77, 112...), as shown in the second screenshot.

The component is configured as follows:

• Source: Selected products
• Product: Regata Eco Friendly Cotton
• Sort by: Default
• Ordering: Default

Since the variations are displayed correctly on the original product page, we expected the Composite Product to use the same variation order.

Could you please let us know:

1. Why does the Composite Product ignore the variation attribute sort order?
2. Is there a setting to make the component use the same order as the original variable product?
3. If this is not currently supported, is there a recommended workaround?
