This is the second time a users reports the following:

Adds a composite product that contains 2 items, and then they cannot finish the purchase because an item is required.

But users cannot edit the components of the product. 

I am not being able replicate this on my side, but 2 users in the same week with the exact same problem makes me wonder a lot.
