My whole store uses WPC Composite Products. On select products, I'm using Product Options as well for additional customization.
This only happens when Product Options are selected. The "Regular price" is added twice to the itemized price in the cart and the mini-cart. Please see the attached screenshots.
Fortunately, the additional price is not added to the subtotal or total.

Click the checkbox for "Reverse plug direction" and add to cart.
Did you get an answer for this problem? I am having it with bundled products, but single products are fine

No, I never heard back so I removed WPC Product Options altogether.
