I installed the free version today and was exploring how the hidden action works. I attempted a few methods:
On the product page, I set it to be hidden every day for all user roles. It isn't displayed on the shop page, but the product URL is visible.
In the global settings, I tried the same setup as method 1, hiding the product every day for all user roles. Similar to the first method, the product is not showing on the shop page, yet the product URL is visible.
For your information, my WooCommerce version is 8.2.1.
- Default actions ( set visible, set in stock, set purchasable) cannot work alone like that. It must follow another universal reverse action (set hidden/set out of stock/ set unpurchasable with the conditional = Everyday).
- Each action can only carry 1 date and 1 time part.
So you cannot use the Default actions in the free version because they won't work properly.
Are you using any external caching plugin on your site? Or any special product layout add-on? These kinds of plugins might cause the issue of not updating the real-time visibility status on time. Hidden products can still be visible in these cases.
We have received many similar reports like that. Some users reported that they need to clear caches then they could see the status updates properly.
You can try that again in an Incognito/InPrivate tab to make sure the data were up to date after making changes for a certain period of time on your site.
