Your WPC Composite Products plugin holds great promise for my client's site but I can't seem to get it to behave in the way that's necessary.
We have a composite product with a minimum of 12 of each variation for the price of $25 and we'd like each additional item total beyond the 12 to be priced at $3 apiece.
While we can let customers choose how many of each component product they want, or limit how many of each they want, we can't seem to figure out how to make any amount past the minimum 12 TOTAL to be priced at $3 each.
For your case, I suggest that you configure your composite products as below:
- Component 1: Required, add all the items, enable Multiple selection method, New price: 0, Whole component's quantity limit: Min = 12.
- Component 2: Optional, add all the items, choose Multiple selection method, New price: 3
Enter 25 in the General tab as the base price for the composite.
Pricing: Include base price
Then customers will have to choose at least 12 items for the first component and it's charged at $25 only. In case they choose more items from the second component, each item will be charged at $3.
You can try these setttings and provide feedback if that works.
Is there a way to hide the crossed-out price in the total?
Finally, the formula I need is really $25 per dozen of any variation, so if people wanted to buy two dozen it'd be $50 and three dozen, $75. Any purchases of tarts up to the next dozen would be $3 per tart.
Ex.: 18 tarts would be $43 but 24 tarts would be $50.
Is there a formula or other plugin that would address this?
1. About hiding the regular price before the total price, I will assign one of our developers to help you with that. He will provide some custom codes for your needs and you can insert to your site.
2. It's very difficult to configure a composite that works that way. It's more like that you will need to use a dynamic pricing or discount rules plugin to offer discounts or fixed prices for certain number of products in a category instead of creating a smart composite like that.
