Wanted to let you know that I came across with the bug that appeared after WPC Grouped Product for WooCommerce activation.
I have Astra theme and WooCommerce plugin. I have variable products and therefore had to install this plugin to create smart grouped products. The plugin itself is working good and I had no problems with it, however, after activation I noticed that “Empty Cart” issue started to appear.
It happens when I add this smart grouped product to the cart, I press Add to Cart and can see in the mini cart that the item was added (it shows the number there), like on the Image 1.
Then if I press on View Cart, it goes to the Cart and the products are visible, but if I press on this Mini Cart (marked with red circle) to go to the Cart page, then it shows 0 products in the cart and message “Your cart is currently empty”, like on the Image 2.
But if I press on the Mini cart again (where now shows 0 products) it will show correct information and correct products in the cart, like on the Image 3.
So the problem with this is that if you don’t know about this issue and add the product in the beginning and then it shows 0 products in the cart and you don’t know that you have to press the Mini Cart button again to show the correct information, naturally you go back to the shop and start adding the products again and by result when you go to the Cart page again it will show ALL the products you added, including the ones you added initially when it didn’t show it….It is very confusing for the customers.
Could you please look into this issue and if possible to fix it or to advice what can I do or what other plugin to use to create smart grouped products. In case you require any additional information please let me know.
1. Are you using the AJAX add to cart on your site?
If yes, you can kindly install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpc-ajax-add-to-cart/ to assist the AJAX loading on your site. It's easy and simple, with no special settings required. Just 1-click installation.
Since not all themes and plugins are integrated with the standardized AJAX for the Add to Cart button, we have developed a plugin for our own WPC users to make sure it has what it needs to work properly.
2. Please install the above plugin then clear both your site and browser's caches/cookies before checking again.
You can test our plugin in an Incognito or InPrivate tab to make sure no caches interfering.
