Hello, I really like your plugin and would like to buy it. But after testing, I am missing 1 possibility. I need automatic pricing for archive pages as for product pages. I don't want to enter a base price. Let it be 0. I need the calculation to be displayed by the minimum or item prices of the goods in the assembly.
For your information, that archive price is based on the kind of pricing you choose for each composite: if it's the only base price, it will take the price in the General tab of each product. For Include/Exclude base price, it will calculate the minimum total price plus/without the base price.
If you choose the Only base price method and enter $0 for the General tab, it will display $0 for the composite in the archive.
You should choose an option here that works for all kinds of composites on your site:
I need the same price to be in the archive page, not to enter it manually. Or to be written "from ....". but also to be displayed automatically on the basis of the selected goods in the lists. Instead of manually entering the price.
1. First, about the prices in the General tab of the product: if you leave both boxes blank, it means your product lacks a price. Then when you check the frontend, you will see that there is no Add to Cart button for your composite. The reason why the Add to Cart button is not visible/ enabled is that your product lacks a price. Even when you using the Include/Exclude base price pricing method, it's still required for your product to be purchasable and valid from WooCommerce's eyes.
That's a requirement from WooCommerce platform, not from our plugin. You can check this with a normal product on your own to know if it's true or not.
2. There's no other way than making all the choices within your smart composite SPECIFIED so that our plugin can calculate a price.
Please specify:
- Default variations for variable sub-products in the Variations tab
- Default option in the box for each component or at least all required components
- Use Exclude base price.
If you use any external pricing plugins such as Dynamic pricing or Woo Discount Rules or similar plugins, it might cause pricing issues.
It's best if you can test with all other plugins deactivated, only keep WooCommerce and our plugin and switch to any of our WPC themes here: https://wpclever.net/downloads/category/themes/
Sometimes, themes that have the built-in multicurrency features might cause issues as well.
WPC Product Bundles work in a very different way from this one.
It only has 2 pricing methods: either use a fixed total (manually entered in the General tab by users) or auto-price (the sum of all sub-items' price)
It would be easier to set up the price format in the exactly same way that you want with WPC Product Bundles. You can also consider making smart bundles instead of smart composite. However, in smart bundles, each item must be manually searched and added. It doesn't allow multiple products added in the same component as in a smart composite.
There are some technical requirements so WPC Composite Products cannot work like that.
Unfortunately, our developers said there's no way the auto-price can be implemented in smart composites. These products are kit-building, not product bundling in normal way and they are much more complicated than smart bundles. It would be very difficult so that's the reason why we have developed different plugins for different needs with different mechanisms.

Thanks for the answer. I know this moment. Can you please add another choice for the price of the archive page?
I want the archive page to display the same price, which is calculated based on the selection of first items in the list, as in the single page.
Calculate product prices = price format for archive page
Here is an example
Link to product
https://demo.wpclever.net/wooco/product/composite-products-03/
Default price 18
I need the same price to be in the archive page, not to enter it manually. Or to be written "from ....". but also to be displayed automatically on the basis of the selected goods in the lists. Instead of manually entering the price.
Hi Alexandru,
Even with the composite on our test site, the price on the archive page is showing an estimated price that is different from the product page:
In order to keep the same price on both the single and archive pages, you will need to use the same conditions for all smart composites:
- Having default variation configured for all variable sub-products
- Use the Exclude base price as the main pricing method (since you don't want to put a price in the General tab manually).
Best regards.

Hi Janilyn,
It would be great if you could implement autocomplete price based on default products and required option.
