For your information, the different tax rates of component sub-products will be calculated into the total of the main composite if you use the Include or Exclude base price method.
In the Only base price method, the tax class and tax rate you've set for the main composite will be used and the tax rates of sub-products are disregarded.
So you don't have to specify any tax rate or tax class for the main composite. You just need to use either Include or Exclude base price method then the tax rates of each sub-item will be calculated.

We can configure taxes per Composite Product, but is there a way to set tax per component. We have different taxes rates by component.
