I'd like to create a composite product with a fixed price - One week Plan $100 - and then have Step 1: choose your breakfast foods - a listing of 15 different single products (foods) to choose from BUT fixed quantity - choose 5 - and then go to Step 2: choose Lunch foods. Again same situation - a listing of products where they can choose any selection but only 5 (no more no less).
Each food product in the listing should have a picture and description, and no price attached to it as it cannot be bought separately.
I am unable to do this, is it because of the limitation of the plugin or?
1. It's impossible to create step by step as in your description because technically that will requires two separate composite products and custom codes to make them appear in order for customers to go through the steps.
2. It's possible to hide the prices of component sub-products in the frontend by going to the plugin setting WPClever >> Composite Products >> Show price: No.
However, it's required by WooCommerce that each product must have a price to be valid and purchasable, so you will still need to configure a price for each sub-item in the list. You can unlink them from the composite and hide from the shop and search archive to make sure customers cannot buy them outside the composite.
3. It's only possible to add a name and description for each component (drop-down) of the composite.
I hope that explanantions are clear enough. Feel free to ask if you still have any questions.
