I offer 10 different services (products A, B, C --- J). All of these are variable products with three levels of variation Level 1(50$), Level 2(100$), and Level 3(150$). Let's assume that all 10 products have the exact same price tag.
I want to create three product packages (the idea is that it will cost less to purchase the package than to buy the services individually)
Package Essential - Services A, B, and C
Package Recommended - Services A, B, C, D, E, and F
Package Premium - All Services
The problem is that I want these packages to be variable as well. I want them to order Level 1 of the Essential Package, which will constitute level 1 of services A, B, and C.
In all the demos that I have seen for this plugin, the users are able to individually specify the levels of the constituent variable products. I don't want the users to be able to order Level 1 of Service A, Level 2 of Service B, and Level 3 of Service C.
Can this plugin be used to create the situation that I am describing? I have heard really good things about your plugin, and I am looking forward to purchasing a full version. Please let me know about your comments.
Thank you for contacting WPClever Support Forum. We have just had a one-week celebration for the New Year so today we are available for support.
For your information, it's possible to do that with this plugin if you use the Premium version. However, please bear in mind that;
- This plugin doesn't offer any discounting or quantity controlling features.
- All sub-products stay as individual, separate products, not linked to one another.
If you need to offer discounts for the combo, you can use our WPC Product Bundles plugin to do that.
In order to create offers as in your description, you will need to combine either WPC Grouped Product or WPC Product Bundles plugin with another one called WPC Linked Variation for WooCommerce plugin.
Here's how:
1. Create 3 smart bundles, bundle 1 includes variations level 1 of all services. Bundle 02 includes all variations level 2 of all services. Bundle 03 includes all variations level 3.
2. Create a new attribute under Products >> Attributes, ie. Level, then configure 3 terms: Level 01, Level 02, Level 03, etc.
3. In the Product data of each bundle page, open the Attributes tab then add the Level attribute, configure only 1 term for each bundle. For example, assign 'Level 01' for the Bundle 01 only, assign 'Level 02' for the Bundle 02 only, and so on.
4. Now, go to Linked Variations >> Create new >> type in to add Bundle 01,02,03. Then put a check on the Level attribute.
5. Check back on each bundle page, you will see there is a list of swatches buttons for the bundles. When customers click on a level/button, they will be brought to the corresponding bundle page. All these bundles are now linked by a common attribute Level.
The WPC Linked Variation plugin can link any product type by adding common attributes to them, so you can use it even for linking a simple product, a variable product, and a smart bundle together by 1,2 or more attributes.
