Hello! I am interested in your plugin (WPC Product Bundles for WooCommerce) for my e-store. But I need to choose the best plugin from my TOP-3 list:

I’ve tried a free version of the plugin on my website, and I know that there is a money-back period, but I am still not sure which plugin to choose. Would you be so kind to advise me why you think I should go with your plugin, please?

Also, in addition to my concerns, I would like to know if your plugin uses shortcodes. I build my website on the Divi theme, so I would like to choose a certain place where the bundled products list should be displayed on a product page.

Please advise in detail to help me make the right choice.
    Regards, Jake.

    Hi Jake,

Thanks for contacting us here at WPClever Support Forum.

For your information, WPC Product Bundles is a plugin for bundling simple, subscription, and variable products. Customers can buy all items or just some selected items (Custom quantity enabled) included in a bundle to enjoy the promotion/discount.

There are 2 pricing methods: fixed price (General tab) or auto-calculated price (the sum of prices of all chosen bundled products). Customers can change the quantity of each item when the Custom quantity option is enabled and can leave any item out of the list if you set the Min quantity limit for each item to 0.

This is the most flexible and common plugin for building offers with min/max limit and flexible tax rates.

You can check one example here, this bundle is made of different variations of the same variable product: https://doc.wpclever.net/woosb/bundle-samples/.

Our plugin supports short-code to use with other page builders in the Premium version. Our developers will guide users further when there are needs.

    Live demo: https://demo.wpclever.net/woosb/

Hopefully, my explanations are helpful enough. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. I'm happy to help.

Have a nice day and best regards from the WPClever team.

Hi Janilyn, thanks for your reply!

I was not able to find any information about shortcodes in the tutorial you gave me a link to. Could you give me a shortcodes list here so I can feel comfortable that you do actually have this functionality, please?

And one more question: I would like to keep bundles alive/published with just a regular price(s) all the time and apply discounts only on FROM & TO certain dates & hours. Is it possible to schedule bundle product discounts this way? Is the schedule functionality built in the paid version of the plugin or how can I get it?

    Regards, Jake.

    Hi Jake,

For the short-code of this plugin, our developers won't share it in the public posts as it only works for the Premium version. That documentation is for both free and Premium versions.

When you have a need to use the short-code, I will need to verify your license first, then I will find a developer from our team to help you with that.

If you need to adjust the sale price for bundles, you can use the WPC Product Timer plugin. After installing this, you can open the Timer tab then add "Set sale price, enter the new sale price, then configure the date & time"

Kindly note that if your bundles only have a regular price, no current sale price, then you can only enter a number, not a percentage, for the new sale price (because the current sale price is considered 0, ie 10% of 0 equal 0 >> timer won't work).

You can set it up for a whole category or tag, etc in the WPClever >> Global Timer tab as well.

There is a free version for you to try with smart bundles on the WordPress repository (which allows only 1 timer/action only).

You can read more about this plugin here: https://doc.wpclever.net/woopt/

    Best regards.

Got it, thanks for the info! All right, here is what I think and the last question:

Comparing all three plugins your one is the best on the support - you are doing great! But technically your plugin is the poorest: It does not let me change anything on an item level within the bundle, for example the title of an item in the bundle can not be changed (this may be handful if you have long product titles) while other plugins let me change/override the titles & short descriptions. Also, it does not let me change the layout on the product page and in the cart (on a bundle level) - sometimes it may be useful.

Finally, it's not clear with shortcodes: if they work only for premium version - why not list all the shortcodes? what are you afraid of? There is something strange with this and I don't need any surprises with bundle products (too much money to deal with). In general, I would say that your plugin is OK for small shops, but not for my case.

    ===

At the moment I am going to proceed with the Product Bundles by WooCommerce plugin, but I am also interested in your WPC Product Timer plugin. Do they both work together and will this (not an easy) case actually work or not:

When no regular and no sale price is set for a bundled product (created with Product Bundles by WooCommerce) - there will be an auto-calculated price shown (just so you know). But if I need a discount to be implemented - I have to enter something into the regular price field and then something in the sale price field. Since it will not let me set a sale price without a regular price, I am not able to schedule a sale price having the auto-calculated price shown after the sale is over (since there must be something in the regular price field and this something will be shown instead of an auto-calculated price).

So, will I be able to use your WPC Product Timer plugin to set a regular price and a sale price for some time (for the promo period) and then turn both prices to 0 (to nothing) in order to let the auto-calculated price be shown as usual?

    Hi Jake,

I have been off for a short business trip so today I am able to reach back to you.

    About your questions:

    1. Unfortunately, we cannot add more features for customizing the details of bundled sub-products. That would break the layout of our plugin.

    2. We offer detailed instructions for using short-code in the Premium version. Our documentation is for both free and Premium users so we won't write it there. That's a general doc only. Our developers don't have enough time to write technical document so we don't list short-code there.

In other WPC plugins, if we have ready-made shortcode, we will list in the description of the feature in the plugin setting.

    3. When the timers are inactive or the date and time go beyong/outside the chosen time in the timers/actions, the price will revert back to their normal price based on your configurations. You can have a try with the free version.

    Best regards.
