I have many grouped products. It works well most of the time. Sometimes, the plugin fails to add the component to the cart. The bug occurred at an unknown time and place, and I cannot find a pattern here. A number of products, not always the same, and a variety of customers were affected.
As an example, it will add "Planner" (main article) However, the grouped product is not displayed: "pocket" "sticker" "pen" Therefore, my customer only receives the main product and not all the articles he selected.
Additionally, it does not remove them from my inventory.
We have been off for a long vacation from 31 Aug until 4th September so today (5th September 2022) we are able to reach back to you when our support team is available for work. We have enabled an automated response to let users know we are away.
From your description, I guess that sometimes your sub-products might be unpurchasable or not publicly available so they are not added to the cart alongside with the main grouped product.
For your case, I suggest that you should observe more to find at least some useful clues about:
- Product types that have errors
- The stock status, Visibility and Catalog visibility of these products
- Check if the Sold individually feature is enabled for these. This feature prevents products from being added to the cart more than once.
We will need more information in order to help you with this. I'm afraid the only possible way now is to observe closely to get some hints.
