Different fixed prices with variable products

    Hello,

thanks for creating such a great Plugin. I bought the premium Version because i was hoping it would solve my issue.

As you can see on the link i have a bundle with 1 variable product. The Bundle has fixed price and this should stay like this.

All i want is that the “fixed” price changes according to the variation that is chosen (in this case different amounts of tea).

I already tried to fiddle through the class-woosb.php and the frontend.js but was not succesful yet.

Please can you help me to solve my problem?

It would okay for me to just change the individual prices in the code. I just need the right position where to start.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Morgan,

    Thanks for contacting us here.

So your goal is to create an offer that has a fixed total price, but there is one variable product inside so they subtotal will be added with the price of the chosen variation?

In that case, you should create a smart composite for that as there's no way to do it in WPC Product Bundles.

You can create such a smart composite with even the free version of our plugin WPC Composite Product

Each single product will be assigned to each component. In the General tab, enter the fixed price for the whole composite (the base price).

Then configure the price of each component that contains simple product with 0% in the New price box (to not count their prices into the subtotal of the composite). For the component that contains the variable product, please leave the New price box blank.

    - Pricing: Include base price

    - Min= Max = 6

You can see my video here for more information: https://www.screencast.com/t/NEiaUgRDEv. Your deal will be using the similar settings like that.

Here is the online documentation for your reference: https://doc.wpclever.net/wooco/composite-setup/

    Best regards.

    Hello Janily,

i tried your solution, some things went good, but some problems came up.

    My problem:

When i put a composite bundle in the cart (lets say for a price of 26,70 € - base price is 14,75 € +11,95 € for the variation) first everything is fine. When i then switch the language, something strange occurs:

    1) The price of the bundle jumps to the base price only (14,75 €)

    2) The Total in the Cart is 41,45 € ( which is the base price + the complete composite price (26,70+14,75)

    3) If i delete the composite bundle, i have no products in the cart, but my total sum still shows 26,70 €. So i guess there is some information lost in the language change.

I know that this is complicated and i already had alot of problems with the language changes.

But this also happens, if i turn on the WPML Function to display a notification when a language change happens and resets the shopping cart. If i then go back to the Language where i was coming from, i only get the base price (14,75 €) without the extra price for the variation.

One more thing, this time concerning WPC Product Bundles.

I was pretty sure that some months ago when i last checked, the Language Change was working 100% correct with WPC Product Bundles, but today i tried again and there also the prices arent correct after the language change.

I dont know, if WPML changed something, but like this it's not really usable unfortunately :(

    Do you know any solution?

    Best regards,

    Hi Morgan,

Thanks for the feedback & information. We're not available at the weekends so today I am able to reach back to you.

We have also received some reports about translation issues with WPML as well. This is indeed a tough nut to crack for us so far.

There is one thing you can try to see if it makes composite work properly again. I have guided some other users and they have given feedback that it's usable for Smart bundles and Smart composite.

Concerning the translation of Smart Bundles or any other special product types (Composite Products, Grouped Products) with WPML, it requires complex configurations to copy all data into the target language, not just the texts but also the meta data and everything else. There might have been something left out when creating the translation.

In some product translating plugins like WPML or Polylang, the bundled sub-products won't be automatically translated and added into the translated version of the main product (Smart Bundles, Smart Grouped or Smart Composite Products) in the target language.

That said, in these cases, users might need to open the translated version of the main product, then re-add the translated version of all the sub-products to make it work properly.

It will be like you first create the composite product in the source language, but this time, you add the translated products to the translated composite product. So, you will need to translate not only the main bundle, but also bundled products inside it.

    Product A (English) = Product B (English) + Product C (English)

    >> product A (German) = product B (German) + product C (German)

It's a limitation in how our plugin works with other multilingual plugins that we still cannot provide a permanent fix, unfortunately. Our developers are working with the developers from the WPML team to find a solution but still no luck so far.

You can kindly check your products again and try to do that to see if it works for your case.

    Best regards.
