I've installed your free versin of plugin WPC Product Timer. I'm also using Divi Bodycommerce plugin. One of their posibilities is to create loop for featured products. I tried to setup a timer with your plugin, where certain product should be set as featured, using after date&time rule. And the product becomes featured - both in product overview, a star is selected, and in product details, it says that the product is featured, but it's now showing in the loop.
After this not working, I contacted Divi Bodycommerce support team, and they said that it would be best to contact you because their plugin "is using default parameters to get featured products". Do you have any idea why their plugin wouldn't show featured product in loop if your plugin is showing state as featured, since their plugin is using default parameters to get featured products?
They were very helpfull, and instructed me to try to contact you, so they don't have to investigate your plugin, but just get the info how is your plugin setting products as featured, so they could implement that in their plugin so it would work.
Thank you for your quick response, and posibble solution to my problems :)
Thank you for contacting WPClever Support Forum. We’ve received your report. Maybe our plugin isn't fully compatible with their plugin.
Could you please provide us with a link to your published product loop for checking? I will transfer your ticket over one of our developers to see if we can provide any helpful clues for your case.
After receiving your information, I'll proceed to the next step.
Link is: https://hr-stage.medico-home.hr. I have product that is set with you plugin as featured, it's called Eva, but it's not showing in product loop.
I was just checking another thing with Slider revolution plugin. I have a slider to show featured products. But, product with timer to change state as featured is also not showing in slider. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with rules, or something, even though product has both in product view checked star as featured and in product detail Featured: Yes. :/
I have assigned one of our developers to help you check if this can be fixed. He’ll be looking into your question and responding with specific instructions as soon as possible.
Please stay patient as we're having very heavy workloads, it might take some time for our developers to reach back.
Here is some technical information: Our plugin uses the filter hook 'woocommerce_product_get_featured' to change this value https://www.screencast.com/t/EZq27V61KQ, and define whether a product is featured or not based on the timer.
We also will try to fix this issue with the featured products query from other plugins soon.
I forwarded your reply to Divi Engine support (we're using their BodyCommerce plugin), and their developers answered me this:
"I think there is a problem with WPC timer plugin.
We used default woocommerce parameters to check & get featured products. In woocommerce, when the product is set as featured product, add their product_visibility attribute to "featued". So, for the featured product, they should have "featured" product_visibility. But in WPC timer plugin, they are just used hook to get featured products, didn't set this taxonomy terms as "featured" for the product. In other words, the products that set as "featured" product by WPC plugin are not real featured products. They are just showing as featured products only - show purpose only. Please let them know about it, so they can set the product taxonomy terms for it."
Is there anything we can do about it (if they understood correctly possible issue)?
