Hi, I would like to know if the WPC Product Bundle is able to create custom group bundles for the following example:
Scenario: People typically drink Vodka with Juices. I would like to create a bundle that sells Different kind of Vodka and Juices. However, for the bundle, customer only can choose min 1 and max 1 of the vodka choices (exp: Vodka brand A, Vodka brand B)
However, customer is able to select 2 juices of his choice. There are example 3 options (1. Orange, 2. Lime & 3 Cranberry Juice). Customer have to choose 2 qty out of these 3 choices.
For example customers may Choose: Vodka Brand A, Lime Juice x 2 or: Vodka Brand B, Lime Juice x 1, Orange Juice x 1 etc...
We have read your description and yes, it's possible if you're using the Premium version of Product Bundles.
Here are a few things you should consider when configuring your bundle offer:
- You will need 2 variable products: Vodka and Juices to add to Smart Bundles.
- Custom quantity must be disabled for this bundle. So the default quantity for Vodka is 1 and for Juices is 2.
- If you would like to set a fixed total price for the offer, you can use the Manual price. Or you can use the auto-price (by default) to add up the total from the prices of the chosen variations.
In case you already have the Vodka and Juices as individual simple products in your store, you will need to use WPC Composite Products plugin to create that deal. You will need a Composite product with 2 components. You can put all the Vodka and Juices products under a unique category or tag. In the back-end, choose Categories or Tags source and enter to add the unique category/tag and all products under that will be added. This allows users to add multiple products at once.
In case your offer contains both required and optional products like that, I recommend that you use the WPC Composite Products. You can configure as below to make sure your buyers will always choose 1 wine and 6 units of beers:
- Create 1 first required component for the Wine and create the number of components the same as the number of variations you have for the Beer. Suppose I have 3 variations for Beers, I will create 3 components for the beers to make sure customers can even choose all flavors in the same order like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/Wf0DdnwDSPJe.

Hi Peter,
In case your offer contains both required and optional products like that, I recommend that you use the WPC Composite Products.
- First component: Wine is required and fixed: https://www.screencast.com/t/L61jnGOdRFR.
- Second component: Beer 1 is also required to make sure that buyers have to choose at least 1 type of beer: https://www.screencast.com/t/6rJUlIqwEr.
- Third and Fourth component are optional with the same settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/jloIvx5XXtcg. You can do the same for the rest.
- General settings for the composite: https://www.screencast.com/t/h6QZDEXk
Then your deal is ready. It will be like this in the front end: https://www.screencast.com/t/4KaadZs3uDUp.
