I just installed the free plugin to test on my website. I like it, however there are a few immediate flaws that I would like help solving or the devs to solve before purchasing the plugins.
1) If all of my variable product is "out of stock", even with "allow backorders" in woocommerce, the smart grouped product won't allow selections. If at least one of those products in the variable product has stock, then all options that are available are available to select.
2) There is no "add to cart" button, unless I click on the individual product and the "smart view" window opens. The button simply does not show up.
3) The "total" doesn't reflect the pricing that is shown (probably a plugin compatibility issue); I don't expect this to get fixed, but an option to disable the "total" lines provided by this plugin would be appreciated to not confuse the customers.
If I have made any errors or if there are fixes I can apply immediately, please advise. I want to purchase this plugin if I can solve these issues.
I checked your screenshots and saw that you were using the Variations Swatches interface on Smart Grouped Product. This could be the reason why it was not working.
For your information: Our developers have investigated this for quite some time and they must declare that our plugin cannot work with any Variations Swatches plugins from other authors. It's because they prevent the proper functionalities of our plugin in the selection method and the conflict is irresolvable.
To solve this puzzle, we have recently released a new FREE plugin: WPC Variation Swatches for WooCommerce. Check it out. You can add up to 5 different types of swatches on a single page and 2 available styles for your choice: rounded or square. We can guarantee this will work since our developers have especially developed this plugin for users to use with other WPC plugins.
Please try it and give me feedback if this could solve the issues you're having.
You're right Janilyn - the plugin you suggested works much better, thank you.
Question: With "Grouped Product" - can it possibly list each item (and each variation) separately? I work as a wholesaler and I'm wondering if this could be easily implemented. For example, for each smart group variation, each variation would show the color and then the "add to cart" button?
Thanks again for your assistance with the main issue. - Anthony
I'm afraid your request with the variation display is impossible to be done with our plugin. There can only be one Add to Cart button to purchase all grouped items altogether.
