Hi, I have not purchased this plug-in yet, but I was planning to, and have been testing it with my wip website. However when I select "remove the default quantity selector" and "replace with drop down selector", I get drop down AND the +/- buttons!
The theme developers are saying the plug-in is incompatible....hence not wanting to pay until I know it will work, although I am eager to make it work as it is important to what I am selling to sell quantities less and be able to stock manage. I am unable to over the +/- on all listings as some listing work better with them (hence the need to purchase the premium plug-in).
I was wondering if you have come across this before and if you could advise? Please be aware I am starting this 100% from scratch, I have no knowledge of CSS/coding etc.
Could you please provide more information the issue you're having:
- The theme you're using on your site.
- The link to your published site/ product with product quantity enabled so that I can check the behavior?
If you purchase the Premium version of our plugin, our developers can help you customize the theme files to complement the missing components for our plugin's functionalities. Some themes are not fully compatible for WooCommerce and WooCommerce functions. That's why users often need to install extra add-ons or plugins.
Thank you very much for your clear reply. In answer to your questions...
1) I am using xstore from www.8theme.com. I can confirm this theme has definitely been built for ecommerce using woocommerce
2) The site I am building is www.littlebirdfabrics.co.uk. I normally hide the site while I am building it but I will make it visible so you can see what I am referring to. Please see product 'Miffy' in Fabrics http://littlebirdfabrics.co.uk/product/craft-cotton-company-miffy-bedtime/. You can see +/- buttons are there as well as the drop down selector list using decimals. This is on the product page and on the cart page.
3) I am also talking to the support team for the theme on this, as I don't see there being a problem with your plug-in as I tried with a different theme and it worked. At the moment they are only giving me the option to remove the +/- buttons site wide, which will not work once I buy your premium version and start to activate product by product!
Please keep us updated about this when you receive feedback from the theme developers. I checked your link and my guess is it's highly probable that your theme developers can help you with this. Since they're familiar with how the theme works, I think they can help you faster than us.
Just in case it's impossible from their side, we can help you but it's taking quite much time since we're having very heavy workloads currently.
Hi, it seems I have been able to make progress on this. However just before progressing I have a few questions...
1) Can the price for a decimal quantity is/can be calculated and displayed before the customer adds the product with the appropriate quantity to the cart?
2) Also I have set the quantity values starting at 0.25 but the default when entering the product page is always 1. I thought I remembered seeing this as a setting but I may have been dreaming. I would like the customer to see 0.25 when first entering the page
3) I'm looking for confirmation that when a decimal quantity is sold that this is reflected in the overall stock quantity. I have just realised that I can add 'units' into the drop down list and thought this may confused the plug-in when trying to stock manage.
1. Our developers can help you customize your site to have the price display to your preference. This depends on the theme you're using, our dev will need to access the admin area to check and fix this.
2. When the quantity is successfully set, it will be displayed with the min and max you have set. If it doesn't display well, there might be something went wrong: either the the settings were wrong or a conflict with your system. To be sure, our developers will need to check and help you further after the purchase.
3. About the stock, it will be reflected in the inventory. If you're using any third-party inventory and stock plugins, it might affect our plugin's functionalities as well.
After purchasing our plugin, you still have 7 days to ask for a refund when you're not satisfied or simply change your mind. The time spent for waiting for our customization support will not be counted into the evaluation time for the refund.
