Yes, our plugin will add the SKUs of products that are added to a composite as components for better stock management. If you're not sure about whether this can work properly on your site, you can kindly find the free version of our plugin from the WordPress repository to try: WPC Composite Products for WooCommerce.
I am currently testing out the free plugin.
It seems to be working the way that we would like. The only thing I am seeing that I am not sure if I like is that the pricing in the cart does not add up properly. For a composite product, it shows the total price then shows the price of the add ons. So a customer may think that the total will be more than it is. I will explain and attach an example below.
The 1964 Pontiac GTO Trumod Kit is originally $1,300, then when you add a Compressor & Bracket it should add $375. As you can see, the 1964 Trumod Kit is showing the price as $1,675 then showing another $375 for the add on. Seeing that a customer could think that the price will be $2,050.
Could this be a bug? Is there any way that I can change that the start product will show the regular price in the cart?
We have received many reports about the wrong price in cart, most of them are caused by an incompatibility with third-party theme or plugin. Some are caused by the lack of some components on users' sites. Hence, it's not sure which caused this now until our developer can access the admin area of your site and check for the cause.
You can also be sure about the functionalities of our plugin by doing some tests on the live demo here: https://demo.wpclever.net/wooco. When a composite is added to cart, the price display in cart is just right since we use the default theme for WooCommerce Storefront and all other tools are updated to the latest.

With composite products will it add a SKU number for each item to the order? Just want to make sure that it does not label it as one SKU all together.
