I purchased Product Bundles. I'm trying to create a sports gear bundle where the wristband quantity can be set by the user, and its color - but I want to allow control of amounts of different colors. So if the user buys the main product with 5 wristbands, they can order 3 red wristbands, one blue and one purple (or any other combination.) Currently I am only able to select one color and quantity per order. Is this at all possible with the Bundles plugin?
You can create that bundle by adding all variations of that products in the back-end, set a preferred default quantity for each product, allow customers to change the quantity and put a limit for the whole item as 5 in your case.
You can refer to these screenshots for specific settings:
This doesn't solve my issue, as one of my bundles needs to contain a minimum of 25 wristbands with a selection between 9 colors. The example I gave was just to simplify the issue. Still looking for a solution.
If you want to create such deal, add those 9 color variations to the bundle, set the minimum quantity for the whole bundle to 25 and set the min/max quantity per item if you want to prevent buyers from buying only certain colors.
I believe this would solve your problem. Please give it a try.
You're suggesting to create 9 separate products? This doesn't solve my issue still (I think). The largest package needs to contain 2 of the main (simple) product, and between 25-50 wristbands, with any desired combination the user picks - be it all of the same color or any number of each of the 9 colors, all summing up to 25-50 wristbands, total price updated accordingly. So any wristband could be ordered in this package in an amount between 0-50, with a total of 25-50 + the 2 main products.
I think you've misunderstood some basic terms in WooCommerce and our plugin. In order to create such deal, you need to create ONLY 1 variable product (with 1 attribute - color and 9 variations of colors) and 1 bundle product for those 9 variations only.
- Step 1: Create a variable product. A variable product has attribute, here only 1 attribute - color. And 9 choices for colors are "variations". See this image: http://prntscr.com/s3f20x. If you already have a product with settings like this, please move on to step 2.
- Step 2: Create a new bundle product (click Products >> Add New >> choose Smart Bundle from the drop-down list of Product Data). Search and add the 9 variations (tagged "variations" ) from the variable product, not the product itself (tagged "variable"), see this http://prntscr.com/s3ez4j.
- Step 3: Add 9 variations to the bundle, not the variable products then it'll be like this: http://prntscr.com/s3ewfq.
- Step 4: Set up other conditions for your bundle based on your needs, please see explanations in this screenshot: http://prntscr.com/s3f8hx
In the front-end, when customers make selection, they can choose any combination of colors as long as the total quantity meets the max 50 you've set: http://prntscr.com/s3fa08, or buy only 1 color for 50 pieces like this http://prntscr.com/s3faym.
So basically your need for color choosing has been met with this way of configuration.
One more thing is that in this version of Product Bundle, there is no "main product", product bundle is a special product types that combines many simple/variable products or certain variations into one new product. When customers put this bundle to the cart, in fact, they are buying a number of products with a discount. You can go to Product Bundles setting to choose an option for Cart content count (bundles only or bundled products or both).
I believe this time it's makes more sense to you, right? If you're still unclear about any thing. feel free to ask.

Thank you for contacting WPClever Support Forum.
You can create that bundle by adding all variations of that products in the back-end, set a preferred default quantity for each product, allow customers to change the quantity and put a limit for the whole item as 5 in your case.
You can refer to these screenshots for specific settings:
- Back-end settings: https://prnt.sc/s2lbgx
- Front-end, when customers choose more than 5 items for the deal, there will be a notification: https://prnt.sc/s2l9js.
Follow above instructions then you'll be good.
