I have downloaded and installed your free plugin, "WPC Variations Radio Buttons". Installed in my site I can see it working on a basic variable product. However, that product has been put into a component using the WooCommerce Composite products plugin and the radio buttons do not display - only the default drop down menu. I contacted the developer and they said I'd have to contact you to find out if you can, or if there is already a way to or if there is something I can do, or you can do to make your plugin compatible and connect with their plugin.
Thanks for contacting WPClever Support Forum. Could you please provide a link to your site/ published problematic composite so that I can take a look at the issue before assigning one of our developers to help you out?
I have checked for a while both links you provided, this is the normal behavior of Variation Radio Button plugin. It only supports Radio Button display for the main product. When you add products to be the components, it will change into a drop down as some users have a really long list of items, this would save the space and convenient for customers to choose the variations. It's our design scheme for this plugin.
Hope my answer is clear enough. If you have any questions with this plugin, feel free to ask anytime.
I understand your explanation but don't understand why you designed it that way. Basically, I know it changes all variable products if it is installed. If I decide to install it is because I WANT all variable products to display with radio button choices. So doesn't it make sense that I'd want those variable products to look the same in the component? I wouldn't want it to change the component dropdowns. Those are different items. Just all the variable product options every where they appear and not just in a separate product. For my purposes, this implementation is not logical or intuitive to the end user. To look one way in one place and differently in another. Just my feedback. I probably won't be able to use your plugin unless it is consistent through the site. A recommended feature for the future might be to offer the choice as to whether it still works in components or not. Thank you for your reply.
It's not that the display is inconsistent for variable products. It's a necessary change, my dear. You want it to display the radio buttons in everywhere variable products are added, but simply imagine, if a user create a bundle or composite deal that has about 10 components, all components are variable with about 10 variations? The number of radio buttons would be too big to be displayed in a screen, right? Let alone many of our users are wholesalers with even up to thousands of variations per products.
You're saying it's necessary just because your products only have a few variations. We, as developers of plugins, must take the benefits of the mass into consideration, hence your request is just impossible to be done.
Sadly, our plugin can't bring what you need. Hope that you can find another tool that meets your demands.
