I really like the Fly Cart plugin, however I came across an issue which is quite annoying. I have my Fly Cart set up like the following:
- no auto show, only the cart icon is being refreshed after and Add to cart - no overlay layer is being shown when the sidebar is open, new products can still be added to the cart
Now the issue is caused by the above. When the auto show is enabled on ajax add to cart, the sidebar is being refreshed normally when a new item is being placed into the cart. However with that being disabled, when a new item is added the sidebar simply disappears. When clicking the cart icon for the first time nothing happens (this is supposedly the closing step under the hood), and clicking it again the sidebar shows up correctly with the new item added.
Could you please take a look at what's causing the issue and hopefully fix it? My assumption that an extra if would simply do the trick.
We’ve received your ticket but the description is not enough for us to find a solution. Could you please provide your site link so that our developer can take a look at thr issue?
You can also kindly create a staging site with the same issue and give us the admin login info so that our dev can work on it. This will ensure your data privacy while still give us a way to make necessary changes.
Thanks Frankie! I'm aware of the option to use an overlay, but my shop is not live yet, so I'm not concerned about a workaround. I'd prefer if the buyers were able to view the cart and add items to the cart synchronously.
Please refer to my first post, I don't want any of these to be enabled, and I still expect the cart to function instead of being buggy.
Please note that I'm not requesting new functionality, I'm reporting a bug. If you give the user options please make sure all options work well in combination with all others.
Thanks a lot Frankie, it does work now! Could you please mark your answer as private, as I don't yet want that link to be visible?
Also this brings us to my next question. I found a plugin which makes it possible to use Ajax Add to cart for individual products on the Product page, and this doesn't seem to cooperate with the Fly Cart plugin at all. Would that be hard to duplicate the functionality on these pages as well?
Thanks Frankie. I checked the Smart Quick View but since we are selling a sofware which generates images we need a full sized product page to better represent each product. I like the plugin so far and I'm happy to purchase the premium version, but I didn't find anywhere that compatibility issues are covered by that license. Can I expect support for my specific case if I buy the premium version?
With the issue about "AJAX add to cart on the single product page", I can help you check and fix this it when you use the premium version.
We also help you whenever to have compatibility issues to make our plugin work correctly as it should. Premium support doesn't include the customization work
Thank you Frankie, I just updated the plugin to the premium version. I assume the fix you made to the other version will need to be merged into this one too. Also if you need any more info from me in order to get the cart to refresh when a new product is added please let me know. Do I need to open another ticket or is this suitable for both fixes?
Could you also make the JS change in the premium plugin similarly to what you did to the basic version, so the shop screen would work well again? I guess this change will make it into the next release so I won't need to worry about overwriting this change once a new version becomes available? Apart from that, I'm really happy with everything, thanks a lot for all your help!

Hi Andras,
Thank you for informing us of this issue! We'll check and fix it soon.
You can use a temporary solution is enable the overlay layer https://prnt.sc/qkce8e then buyer can't click "add to cart" while the fly cart is open.
Best regards,
Dustin

Hi,
I've tested again. You need to choose "Yes" for these options https://prnt.sc/qkmq3q and the fly cart will be fine

Dustin

If you need the help to check the issue with another plugin, please buy the premium version to get premium support.
In your case, I think is better if using a quick view plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-smart-quick-view/) to view the product info and don't need to open the single product page
Best regards,
Dustin
